Cultural exchange proposals from Ass. Il Cerriglio (as of September 2005)
a) Common production of a video and related DVD
This project can address 2 groups of young people (up to 10 persons per group) and can be divided into three steps :
1) Online preparation (for example via interactive websites – forum, audiovisual blogs) – team building , reciprocal knowledge, choice of the themes.
2) Workshop phase (for example one week in Napoli and one in the location of the partner): three experts and an intercultural mediator from Il Cerriglio Association (and eventually other experts from the partner as well) can transfer technical know-how related to video to the young people and coordinate their practical application (ie the video production takes place)
3) Editing phase and dvd production (this is usually done within one month after the end of the workshops). The editing can be performed either by the Ass. Il Cerriglio or by both partners (2 different versions of the video may then come out, both included in the final DVD for comparison)
Technical equipment needed in the both locations: room equipped for showing videos, 2 camcorders , cd/dvd player, videoprojector, audio system suited for live music, tripod , external microphone and “fishing pole” (for the live capture of audio during video shooting), 1 computer suited for audiovisual editing, blackboard and related consumables.
The travel costs to your location are usually covered by the Ass. Il Cerriglio by means of public and/or private funding.
Accommodation and board for the visiting people at your location, as well as rental-if necessary- of needed equipment should be provided by the partner (hopefully by means of public or private funding as well)
The travel costs to our location should be covered by your sponsors as well.
Il Cerriglio Association usually covers the accommodation and board costs and provides the needed equipment in Napoli, although, depending on the available financing, accommodation in private houses (for example the houses of the Italian young people participating in the project) may be an option in this case.
b) Videoclip workshop
This workshop addresses ten young people (for example between 15 and 30), in the location of the partner from 5 to 7 days.
Three video and music experts and one “intercultural mediator” from the Ass. Il Cerriglio work with the young people to transfer technical know-how through theorical lessons, video shootings and musical performances. The video is then edited within one month and a related DVD is also produced and published on the web.
The workshop lasts about 20 hours (for example 4 hours per day in a five-day schedule)

Possible schedule:
1st day: arrival of the “experts”, first meeting
2ndday: workshop on digital music
3rd day: workshop on audiovisual editing
4th day: workshop on special effects
5th day: video shootings
6th day: video shootings
7th day: departure of the “experts”
The travel costs are usually covered by the Ass. Cerriglio by means of public and/or private funding.
The other costs - accommodation and board for the video experts and the “intercultural mediator”, rental –if necessary- of needed equipment – are usually covered by the partner – hopefully by means of public or private funding as well.
