Cultural association "Il Cerriglio": video productions and audiovisuals media

Claudio Settembre and Vittorio Milone are the current company management. The association works on music, theatre and cinema and from 1997 on has been continuously specializing in video classes, where several screenplays and short movies written and shot.
Since 2001 the association has been officially recognised and sometimes supported as a relevant cultural institution by the Regione Campania (the Italian region of which Naples is the capital city) In 2002 it won the Vesuvio Award for the best short film at the Naples Film Festival, one of the most important local cinema events.
After having operated in different places in the centre and in the suburbs of Naples, in 2003 the association "Il Cerriglio" gets the occasion of starting up the Tracce Visive company in the brand new structure of Città della Scienza (Naples's science center), located in Bagnoli, an area of the city just on the seaside.
This facility offers to developing small businesses the chance of having a private office as well as legal and financial support at a low cost, along with more than 4000 square meters (about 4800 square yards) of available cinema locations.
Tracce Visive and cultural association "Il Cerriglio" cooperated with two technical partners, XFilm.it and La Settima Arte , two companies specialized in the audiovisual sector providing expertise and professional equipment: they teamed up with Tracce Visive, offering production services and educational cinema courses and workshops of various kinds in an overall project named Sete di Set (thirst for the set): film directing, screenwriting, non-linear editing, camera operation, cinema criticism .In the first year alone in Città della Scienza, more than 150 people enrolled in the educational activities.
They offered videos and DVDs to every kind of companies, institutions and individuals for commercial and non- commercial purposes, as well as advertising and music videoclips. Amongst other works, the company developed an audiovisual project (Progetto Ovest 2004/2005) co-supported by the European Union Commission and dedicated to the young people of Bagnoli, to encourage their participation in local political and economical activities.

The current international activity of the association consists mainly of cultural exchange projects with different countries, such as Germany, Serbia, France and Udmurtia.
